Second week of clinical was great! Things I got to

FIRST WEEK OF CLINICAL ✔️
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
55 hour week & still getting lost in a maze of hallways 😂. This week I was able to do lots of general surgeries with quick turnovers, which really helped with repetition of the workflow! I was able to get a feel for how to mask ventilate, pre-op patients, & figure out my own flow & setup for inductions. I got to intubate a few peeps (I keep going back and forth between a Mac & a Miller, I can’t decide which I like yet) & insert some LMAs (loving the igel 👍🏼).

Everyone in the hospitals have been SO NICE & patient with me as I learn, I definitely did not expect that. I am loving working with different CRNAs & MDAs, & picking bits & pieces of their workflow to add to my own.

Some of the cases I’ve been a part of this week have been some hernia repairs, I&Ds, ortho, & urology. Next week I’m supposed to do some ortho & nerve blocks. We’ll see how it goes! 😷
